Standing Seam Metal Roofing Technology Products

Standing seam metal roof products are the newest technology in roofing to come out within the last fifty years. There are a few different products that are used for standing seam metal roofs. They can be applied on two types of buildings as well, low slope buildings which are your industrial and commercial buildings and then you also have your steep sloped roofs like your residential homes. With a residential home, there is a little different application process because it is a nail down process where studs and other structural beams may be exposed.

Galvalume standing seam material is one of the best products available for your residential roof. It has a great outdoor corrosion resistance which makes it ideal for having a long life. It is a light weight material that can just be rolled out and nailed to your roof or it can be stamped and textured to create shingles or tiles for your roof. Unlike some other steel roofing systems, Galvalume can be painted and comes in many different colors to match your house or any color you want.

One of the nice things about a standing roof system is that it is an interlocking roof that when put on a residential building, it is interlocked with the other sheets then nailed down to provide you with the maximum roofing security. There are certain equipment needed to apply a standing seam metal roof, so it is wise to leave that to the professionals. There is machines, and special tools that are needed to make sure that your standing seam roof is applied properly.

The up front cost of a standing seam roof is a little expensive if you are paying entirely out of pocket. However, because it can last fifty years or longer if properly installed, you will be saving yourself a lot of money in the long run. With an asphalt tile, you are looking at replacing your roof approximately every ten years! Berridge standing roof system is a great product that will last a long time. Many of these standing seam metal roofs are even made with recycled material which will keep your roof cooler and is more ecofriendly. The biggest benefit as well is that if you purchase one of these metal standing seam roofs, you are eligable for a $1,500 tax credit at the end oof the year.

One of the great things about these roofs is that you can just lay them over the old roofs. That means that you don't have to pay for the extra labor to strip off the old, underlying roofs. They can just stay there for extra insulation.

Yeah, people use them on their houses and they really like them. They don't look like warehouses; give the roofers some credit! They wouldn't put something awful on people's houses; they have a reputation to uphold, too.

Don't they mostly use these on industrial buildings, like warehouses and stuff? Would they even look good on a house? I think I saw one on a barn recently, but I don't want my house to look like a barn or an industrial building. Are people really using these on their houses?

I read that they come with ribs of different heights—what does that matter? I mean, is there a reason that higher or lower ribs might be more efficient or desirable? I would think that bigger ones would look weird.

They look nice, but they leak. Water gets under the panels, and they rust around the nail holes. You're better off with something that has layers, like shingles, to keep water from getting in under them.

These can look extremely cool. They come in many different colors—I already checked that out. They look good on churches, and they're also a good choice for businesses if you don't want to go with the usual flat roof.

Is this the kind that comes in a lot of cool colors? I mean, if it was just silver, it would look like a lean-to or something. Even if it was big. It would be great if this site included some pictures to help us get an idea what the different roofs looked like.

Hard Kennel Roofing is a Great Improvement For Dog Kennels

By D. Goossens
Many dog kennel manufacturers and retailers have been offering kennel covers for blocking the sun and keeping Fido more comfortable when in the dog kennel. These covers work fine as long as the weather does not turn bad with wind and heavy rain or snow. Most kennel covers are a fabric material, in reality, a tarp attached to the kennel top with a series of metal poles which you drape the cover over the kennel and secure the tarp with shock cords or bungee cords.
